Long title, but yes, it's what bothers me about today's age.
If you say to dislike cucumber sandwiches, you'll eventually get jumped by a group of people who think that means you hate cucumber and/or sandwiches in general. Or a more common analogy: say you like cats, and people will assume that therefore you hate dogs.
Things are seldom this black and white, but few people want to entertain the notion anymore, especially when the person uttering the "heinous" statement is someone you already have a disdain for.
On the internet, it's evidentially enticing to be angry all of the time. You feel like you're doing something purposeful with your life; and enacting some kind of positive change. I've had moments like these, moreso in the past than now. There was a short time I thought that yoai fanart was objectifying homosexuals, but nobody cared. If people politely ask you to fuck off, then what's the point. Who am I defending? No one asked me to be angry for them, and by pretending, you're only wasting energy better spent on something else.
People are capable of change. Things you did or said years ago can feel like it was uttered by a stranger today. Whether left-wing, right-wing, or no-wing, when people dig hard enough, there's always a 10 year old "racist", "sexist", or "homo/whatever-phobic" message floating around that can be linked to that person. That includes you. I see you, asshole.
The biggest shame is that redemption and reform are not offered to those who did (genuine) wrong. You'll forever get treated like the moldy apple in the basket, and no matter how often you apologize or how vast your track record is as a valuable member of society or charity worker, you made that racist joke when you were 15; you should lose everything.

Voices hoarse with sickeness
..I didn't know this of myself until just now.
This month I came across two separate Youtube videos, hosted by an audibly sick person who was struggling -yet forcing themselves to speak. It genuinely hurt my ears listening to their hoarse voices and made my own throat feel awkward. Had to click away after mere seconds.

TRANSGENDER PEOPLE ARE BREAKING RECORDS, but are they?
Despite the way the world is running itself, I haven't been angered enough by anything to write an article about for 3 years. But yesterday I heard a statement that was the tipping point for me. Hurray?
A day or three ago, I came across a Youtuber who occasionally dubs video game cutscenes with her friends; their Sonic the Hedgehog stuff being the funniest shit the world's been blessed with. Because these videos appeared to be 1% of what the channel does, though, I decided to browse through her other stuff.
I clicked a random stream, where halfway through a person in the chat commented on her accurate Sonic voice, to which she replied something along the lines of "I might be the only female Sonic voice actor". Maybe not the exact quote, but not a misinterpretation.
When her male born and male developed voice hit my female born and female developed ears, I couldn't help but feel awkward listening to this bold claim.
Like, Penny, you son of a bitch, don't you think I would've loved to be able to sound like Sonic the Hedgehog? Let me also make a bold claim and say there's not a single woman on this planet who can sound like Sonic. A more accurate thing you could've said was that you're the only transgender Sonic voice actor, but I guess that's a less special credit to give yourself.
So, how was this my tipping point? Well, there have been discussions going around about transsexual athletes and in what team they should belong: men or women. They pop up whenever a transgender woman destroys other women in competition, because whether certain groups of people like it or not, biology is a fact. There's a perceivable difference between men and women, and a reason these groups don't compete with each other in soccer matches.
I think it has been said that there's no rule in "male sports" that sends away women who want to apply, but they simply can't compete with a man. They never make the cut and are always weaker than the weakest male player, causing the genders to get seperated anyway. It doesn't matter if a woman trains as hard -or even harder- cause when it comes to raw strength, boys have it easier.
Then, what happens when you allow a transsexual woman into female sports? I predict they'd instantly become the number one player and decimate all the records set by, well, biological women. Even if your muscles slightly change by the hormonal drugs taken, you still have a male body under that pretty skin, with male muscle structure and eveything else nature has given you that can't be changed with surgery or drugs.
Interestingly enough, I only hear stories about transsexual women joining the other side and being celebrated, I've yet to see a story about an athlete transitioning and joining the men. Do they ever join the men or is the problem here they never come close to winning to earn themselves a spot in the news? Is demanding them to join the men seen as unfair, still? Will female sports become dominated by girls with biological male bodies and girls with artificial male bodies?
The image of "normal" women being flung around by these powerhouses makes me giggle, but to who is it fair?
On the other hand, we can't open up a special team for transgender athletes only. This group is too small. Of course, still big enough to steal someone else's record and become a controversial addition to the history books.
People also wonder if biological girls with a high testosterone level should compete without getting "disadvantaged" in some way, like taking testosterone lowering drugs. There's this South-African athlete who has to go through this every time. A bit like forcing a professional darter to wear an eyepatch because their eyesight is too good. Pretty inappropriate. But, then I read about this medical test from 10 years ago that concluded she's a hermaphrodite; with no actual womb, but internal testicles. I checked her Wiki page for confirmation, but it's silent about the details of her sex test.
To possess more testosterone than usual, whatever that means, doesn't automatically make you a man or on par with them, there's more to it, but if this 2009 test is genuine and there are testicles inside her body, it starts to touch that surface.
To close it off, if a hare ties a shield on its back and races with turtles, it'll likely win, and people right now are asking themselves if the hare deserves to get its photo on a magazine as "Fastest Turtle Alive!". After all, it identifies as a turtle and put a shield on its back, it's not easy to run like that, it might as well be a turtle? But are turtles slow because of their shell, or because of that shell in combination with their differently developed muscles and other factors?
Personally, I don't know what to do with this hare. It made a decision to change itself, and now it belongs nowhere. It can't ever win from regular hares and the turtles can't ever win from it. There's no solution I prefer and no hatred in my heart for the hare, but I would appreciate it if it didn't cheer itself on as the first turtle who ever succeeded.
I hope you liked my cool analogy, goodbye.

You think the "DEE IS ANGRY" blog is shit
I know you people are talking about me behind my back, and I've cared not for a very long time, and was planning to continue on not caring for the rest of my life.
But fine, it's been some years, let's talk about it here, so I know you'll read it.
You're one of them, Becca.
Do not remember you, sorry to inform you.
For a fair amount of time, I knew this "Dee is Angry" blog caused a handful of people grief. Or pure rage, more like it. That, while this blog was intended to be an outlet for me personally. I found myself a little too often making the same drawings/points at Deviantart, and I thought that if I would write it all down on this dead website I was sure nobody would ever go to, then I'd have some emotional rest and would stop soiling my other accounts with the same complaints. And I guess I could give people a link to an article when they'd ask me for my opinion about something.
Yet quite alot of people, I'm not sure I ever met, found this blog and are disgusted. Why? Well, the power of opinion is forever strong, but it's also because people, like people on the internet tend to do, always first create an image of you without your help, and when they're finally paying attention and you show your true self, you destroy that image and they get upset for not being what they wanted you to be. Though, I think many already disliked me for my age-old views on slash fanart, so this blog was a cake shop to them.
I want all of you to know that me disappointing you is not any of my concern, nor is it my fault. My time at Lionking Fanart was a silent one and I was a preteen girl; don't pretend to know who I was back then. My time at The3Eds was all baby-eating-jokes; how could anyone say what my true self was.
None of you knew me.
A thing I often tell people is "I don't owe you anything". It sounds like an unnecessary, mean thing to share, but it is the objective truth. None of us owe anyone anything, yet we often enough feel like we want to do good for others. Me included, believe it or not.
But I don't owe it to you to be this "cheerful, happy 2004 Mary Sue", who only exists to create visual entertainment for you, of course happens to agree with all your world views behind the scenes, and would never dare to, for example, question bisexuality.
I've definitely discussed some heavy subjects, as for enough small nonsense, and articles all people on the planet would agree with, and then of course there's my "DEE IS HAPPY" blog, but as always nobody reads or cares about that. Only the most negative titles gets shared around, because only those articles are desired for manually building up the rotten personality of this monster that is VampireMeerkat, for the anti-meerkat crew to then sit in a circle and rage about.
Fucking VampireMeerkat. How dare you hate slash fanart. It's because you hate homosexuals, obviously. And I see you complained about gay men dressing like women? Jackpot, oh, lucky day, I'll ignore the points made and just say I was right all along.
And that's always been the only reason for you. Everything I criticize is because of a morally corrupt reason. And of course it is. You hate me, so I need to be the most vile beast you can wish for. I understand that, but for shit's sake, all of you are so cheap. Your hits are cheap. If you want to talk about what's insulting, that's insulting, not this pathetic internet diary.
Not reading my explanations, just making up your own, that's the biggest blow to both your and my intelligence. I already told you what bothers me, so why are you making up unmentioned nonsense. Why are you deciding what I meant for me.
I changed my opinion concerning bisexuality a long time ago, nevertheless, I don't remember the article being that aggressive to begin with. From what I remember, I was honestly asking for clarification, and I received it from two helpful commenters. You can only dream about meeting with people like that on the internet, they are the type of people you can have honest discussions with. It only took these two to change an opinion I held for years, and they did it without calling me a bitch. They did it especially because they didn't call me a bitch. They recognized I asked a fucking question. Only a month ago or so I made a bisexual friend in real life; they've never "consciously" been part of my life before, I knew nothing, I wanted to know, why is that so hard to understand for the easily offended.
I'm sorry to disappoint the fans and the haters, but this blog needs to exist. I think it's fair to let people know what I think; see it as an "If you accept the worst of me, you're a true friend of mine"-kind of thing. This is why I never delete any of my comments either, and the old bisexuality article still exists. And behold, my crummy logic works: people who claim to have enjoyed my company at one point in time are now disappointed in my ass. Then I guess it's goodbye to you. Those who discard my opinions as "trolling" are useless to me. It's so void of respect, I would've rather had you call me an asshole in all CAPS.
Why am I not dead to you people. Why am I still a subject of your conversations with others, just stop talking about me behind my back. Move on with your life. Live in that bubble. I don't add anything to your life, obviously, and I'm not even interesting enough to gossip about, I'm not that controversial. The negative opinions I have on fanart is basic as Hell, I am not the most special poison flower that needs to be trampled, seriously, people.
The opinions outside of fanart deserve to be read and well-understood. I can't have a discussion with you if your conclusion is always going to be that I have a phobia. Stop it with that bull. I'll decide if I have a phobia, you know I'm annoyingly honest, I'll be sure to use the word myself if it were the truth.
So anyway, if any of you wants to start a discussion, don't bother to start one here. There are alot of articles at this blog, but I don't tend to visit often. Or at all. This site is just a diary to me where I only sometimes think of something to write about.
Send me a note at Deviantart or contact me on Facebook, even, but not here.

The hatred for animes being "whitewashed"
Generally speaking, I do believe that if a fictional character is established to have a certain ethnicity, the actor portraying that character should have the same one/come from the same country.
Though, let's be honest, we're not really able to see whether an actor is Chinese or Japanese, German or Swedish, so in those cases people only get pissed off when they read the actor's real name on the internet. I call that fake anger.
And then there's the interesting fact that if another race takes the role of an established white-skinned character, the audience is forced to praise it, otherwise you're an ignorant racist. I remember this when an old black lady was cast as Hermoine for a Harry Potter stage performance.
But for a while now there's this trend going on where white people are not allowed to have or do anything, and it's super cool to call them the devil. No reason. If you're born white, you're a suppresive shitlord. That'll teach you to be born white. That'll teach your parents to be white.
Some people would call that racism. Some.
But there's one special group of fictional characters I believe would do better with those "disgusting culture-stealing white people" representing them, and that's anime characters. And really, Japanese artists enabled this themselves.
When you look at manga and anime, the majority of characters, if not all of them, look like a caricature of the Western race (as it's based on the Western animation style). Them having Japanese names and living in Tokyo hardly makes them the common Japanese person, as they have giant eyes, long legs, and every eye and hair colour of the rainbow. You can definitely say that Western people possess more of those used colours naturally than the Japanese do. You can't make me believe that a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes is Japanese, just because she is named "Momoko".
So when Scarlett Johansson was announced to be cast for the main lead for a movie adaptation of an anime series called "Ghost in the Shell", fans lost every one of their shits, and immediately attacked her in their blogs and started talking about other movies that ruined their favourite franchise, like the live action Avatar movie, as if that's relevant at all.
Avatar made the grave mistake of not using actors that looked like the original cast, and I agree that was some lazy casting, nevertheless, I always thought the Avatar boy himself to look fairly accurate, and that's because the original character also much looks like a wide-eyed, white-skinned little boy. That kid does not look Asian.
And that's the point I'm making here; Japan can keep on drawing their Western caricatures all they want, but when you make a movie and want to be "visually" accurate, then the Japanese themselves are not the first pick for the role.
Having that said, if you hate an anime movie adaptation for not using Japanese actors, then why don't you hate the anime itself? That too is just about a bunch of Western-looking people claiming to be Japanese.
Let's hate the Ghost in the Shell movie after it comes out and is actually shit. The Japanese have money, don't they. They can make their own movies and all you hipsters can go see their productions instead. But that doesn't mean that none of the other countries on the planet are allowed to take a foreign creation and make a movie about it. It's insane to think that way.
As dumb as the Avatar movie was, I don't think Shyamalan did it to insult the show or other races.

The Finebros incident
A short while ago Youtube users "Fine Brothers Entertainment" announced that they wanted to franchise their REACT series and basically start a companionship with all who wanted to use their popular format.
For people who don't know: they are talking about their video series where they set a certain (age) group of people in front of a camera and let them react to whatever video suggestion is being voted up in the comment section.
It's a very clear formula that everyone loves, and you get to learn more about the video's background in these videos, which is helpful for those who don't keep themselves busy with memes.
Long story short, the Finebros' announcement met with tremendous backlash, and it seems like I'm the only person who doesn't understand why. Alot of other react channels are negative and are calling them greedy Jews, which is very suspicious of them to do in this politically correct age, and people have made it their hobby to watch their subscriber count go down live on other websites. Also very mature.
I listened to some of these complaints that people had, and to me it's sounds like it's all based on assumptions. It was clear to me what the Finebros meant when they talked about selling "their formula", but every other react channel out there is throwing a fit because they think these guys mean their boring ass and shitty camera quality productions, and they're afraid they're getting their videos thrown off when Finebros gets their plans through the system.
But honestly, it's like these people want this to be the case, like they want to be angry about something. People these days want to complain about everything, and this feels like one of those instances.
Not once during the Finebros' announcement did I think they were talking about react videos in general. What was the rest of the world hearing? The only thing I found dubious was their plan to copyright the word "react", but I recon it was going to be in combination with the group/type of people reacting.
But now the Finebros cancelled the plans they had any right to do, sorry to break that to everyone, all to please the world and save their name.
I found the unsubscribe-to-Finebros trend to be incredibly pathetic, they did not deserve this hatred, especially not since they were willing to answer questions through mail. Questions through mail, mind you, not comments telling them to drink lava and fuck a sheep.

Walt Disney presents: additions to classics you never asked for
This has bothered me ever since Disney started doing it, but it only just now it entered my mind again.
For some strange reason Disney thought it was a good idea to rerelease certain old animations and add previously deleted scenes to them. You may wonder why that bothers me so much and the reason is what any old fart would say: now kids today won't know the real deal. Or something of equally less objective value.
Honestly, in the case of The Lion King, where they added a song for Zazu called "The Morning Report", I didn't mind it that much. I understand why the song was originally left out, as it's short and pointless, but it was still catchy as Hell. Too bad Simba's appearance stuck out like a sore thumb, but they did a fair job. It could've been a whole lot worse.
Now, I'm not entirely sure how many old classics they changed when they put them on later video tapes or DVD; the only examples I know of are The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, which are perhaps the only movies they touched so far, but it's the Beauty and the Beast addition that actually motivated me to write this article.
Just like in The Lion King, they added an originally deleted musical number. Nothing too bad on paper, but this song was longer, it was boring, bland, and our translated version was cursed with this sudden different voice actor for the Beast. I don't know if the English version had a similar problem, but it was just some guy doing his regular voice, not the Beast's voice. I stared at a total mess.
It especially caught me off-guard since this scene popped up on a regular video tape I bought from a thrift store, and nowhere did it say it was the special edition. The cover was identical to my own copy of the movie.
I'm sure my siblings enjoyed my "That didn't happen", "This didn't happen", "What is this", "Holy cow, Beast sounds lame, why" during the entirety of the number, but were probably less bothered by it than I was.
I need a different hobby.

Kingdom Hearts
No idea why I can't center images anymore, but anyway, I had to think about this one for a while, because I fondly remember the first time I played Kingdom Hearts and even now I'm excited for the third installment. For which they still didn't give a release date, but fine, it's not like it didn't take them long enough already.
But after some thought, I have to give in and say that Kingdom Hearts is a badly constructed series.
I was pretty involved with the characters in the first game, but every game that came afterwards shat out more and more characters, more strange explanations, and in the end I found it hard to follow the story. I remember having to go to a Wikia page that explained the whole mess, because the games are just all over the place. How is a preteen supposed to follow all this?
I was so confused by Birth by Sleep, even after playing it 5 times over I didn't understand the deal with Ventus, so I had to look it up. A few written sentences told me more than the game itself.
The titles assigned to the games are far from helpful, and instead of Square Enix giving us games progressing the original story, we get all these portable console games that play off in somewhere in the past or during Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, usually not starring Sora. I bought most of them, but I haven't played most of them. I feel so demotivated to do so, while it's pretty obvious these games are meant to be played if you want to know what's going on.
But why would you limit yourself by only releasing these crucial pieces of story to portable devices? What's wrong with you.
It's like this series wasn't meant to be a game series; I think it would've worked better as a tv-show. If it wasn't all so dramatic:
Another thing I don't like is all the exaggerated acting in this series, it oozes Square Enix. If they wanted to add drama, I think Disney should've taken the lead on that department, they know better than Square Enix how to balance it out. Sora falling on his knees in front of his long lost friend Riku would've been believable and emotional if Riku wasn't a random low-life villain in the entirety of the first game. I still think his character is weak, and I feel more for Sora trying to get back home to Kairi than finding his dick albino friend. And going back home doesn't seem to be on Sora's list.
Sadly enough, Sora doesn't really talk about wanting to go back home and see his parents, and is unrealistically content with being Goofy and Donald's abducted foster child. I don't think players should be depressed out of their minds, but it's obvious the game series isn't about being happy and cheerful. Sora could've used the character developement and at least lament about his lost childhood and home.
If you're just this goody-two-shoes guy who wants to help everyone, then there's not much to you.
So, well, that's basically the gist of it. I guess the reason Kingdom Hearts 3 still excites me is because it cuts the bullcrap fans have been given for so long and it finally progresses the story it started off with.
Really don't care about the Nobodies, guys.
Also, thanks for cursing Riku, Terra, you son of a Goof.
Hopefully the third game is worth the wait and it will tie everything together.

"Male/female version" songs at Youtube
With other words: people grabbing existing songs and pitch-shifting them, turning the original singer into the "opposite gender".

Pawn stores
They rip off people without shame and even show off their evil tricks on television. No shame at all.
This article could've been about the questionable realism in shows like "Pawn Stars", but what bothers me more is the fact they're always cheapskating on extremely valuable items. In their personal interviews they're all like "AND THEN I KNEW I HAD TO HAVE THIS ITEM IN MY STORE!", but when the camera cuts back to the guy and the customer negotiating, they're all like "Yeeeaaaaah, I know it's worth 10.000 dollars, but it's going to be so haaaaaard trying to sell it, there's really no interest for it, so I'm offering 200 bucks...".
Either the customer is intelligent and doesn't take the deal, or they're idiots with debts who just want to get whatever they can right that instant and agree to it, and what follows afterwards is the camera cutting back to the salesman going all "Yeah! There's gonna be so much demand for this thing, it's a true treasure for the store!".
What the coo? You JUST told the guy there's no way in Hell you'll get rid of the item, and now it's suddenly the grand hot cake? Just. You son of a bitch.
Don't people watch these shows? Don't they see how these store owners are laughing behind their backs? Why do they still go to these pawn shops with their museum pieces? Are they blind, deaf or overall insane? Do they just want to get on television?
It breaks my heart seeing people get ripped off like this and these store owners, perhaps unknowingly, admitting to it.

Those "I'm fine/broken" posts at Facebook
Well, shucks.
You depressed, poor sweetheart? And you want to attention-whore about it on the internet where everyone can see how super hurt and serious you are? Except forgetting that the people who truly are suffering don't waste their time on the internet, never mind complain about it, or are even alive anymore?
Get lost, you spoiled teenager.
But let me give you a tip before you get lost: how about stop saying "fine" if it's such a big issue.
Don't act so dramatic over something you're doing to yourself; you are the cause of your own cropped up emotions, not others. Say "I'm not fine and here's why.." or go to therapy if something in your brain prevents you from explaining yourself.
Except you are apparently able to explain yourself, otherwise these moronic images wouldn't exist, where you explain yourself.

Pewdiepie's fame
Even though I do not find badly constructed, inaudible sentences and random screaming to be entertaining, it's not hard to see that Pewdiepie is a decent person. He simply did his thing and happened to get shared on the internet and become the Youtube celebrity he is now.
That's not something he constructed himself.
Having that said, I cannot speak ill about the boy, I'm not even sure if I can speak ill about the people who like him. But I will say that his fame upsets me greatly, because I've been in all corners of Youtube and have seen way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way more talented and funny people do the same thing. Before him. And haven't we all.
But well, all of us "jealous people" just have to realise that there aren't that many internet users who visit those corners and know about these people. I bet that 80% of Pewdiepie fans have Pewdiepie set up as their only gameplay channel and as the authority on gaming. A good example of that being his fans going to other gameplayers solely for the purpose of bashing them to Hell for daring to play the same game Pewdiepie has played, not knowing that every single gameplay channel on Youtube plays the games that are most hyped as a way to stay up-to-date. That's what they do. They don't do it to rip off someone else.
Pewdiepie certainly deserves to have watchers, but him being on first place of all this shit, that's something that's hard to swallow.

Always blaming the parents
If you happen to watch Dr. Phil or similar shows alot, you will always hear them blame the parents for the rotten behaviour of their child. Same case when people review other people's families on the internet.
Sure, there are those instances where you can do nothing but agree that the way the parents treat their child is only feeding their arrogance, like buying that car for them when they stomp their feet loud enough, but I'm not sure how parents loving their child too much turns them into a rebellious drug- and sex addict from the beginning on. Even when you have drill sergeant-parents, the same conclusion gets drawn and it's still/again the parents' fault.
So. When is it not their fault?
If being a caring parent turns your child into shit, if being an evil parent turns your child into shit, if letting them do their thing turns them into shit, if being controlling over them turns them into shit, what won't turn a child into shit?
Is it possible, just maybe, that the child itself is simply shit?

Stores that use Ebay
Or similar sites.
It's like television shows putting all their stuff on Youtube. It's cute and all, but these sites were made for common people. What are these stores doing, they already have their own website and actual stores throughout the world.
Stop trying to compete against the common man, aren't you rich enough already.

Racist idolisation
Strange title, but I wasn't sure what else to call it.
When watching television talent shows, going back to those again, the chance you'll hear a young black girl sing a song from Beyonce and a young black boy a song from Michael Jackson is...100%.
And yesterday I saw two different black people on television hoping they got to meet either Beyonce or Will Smith.
Just what the coo. Why do all these African Americans only have black idols? Why do they only want to be like another black person? Why do they only sing songs from other black people? It's always Beyonce this, Beyonce that, Beyonce is my idol, I wanna be like Beyonce when I grow up, etc etc.
It's getting ridiculous.
Does nobody like Macklemore? Is he too radiant white?

Receiving a second chance isn't your right
Much like my article about not having to forgive the one who did you wrong, I also don't think people always deserve a second chance.
I often think this of people who cheat on someone; the act of consciously jumping into someone else's arms and getting it on is not something you can do on accident in 3 seconds. You chose to cheat on your partner and you went on with it. All the way. How is it still a mistake at that point. What makes you think you deserve a second chance. What makes you think you won't do it again.
Go get your second chance with someone else.
