"Bright Eyes" in Watership Down

I love the song, but I've never seen such a pointless insertion of a song in a movie, ever. The whole scene this epic song plays in left me in utter confusion.
I expected this song to be in some epic end death scene, but instead you just see this rabbit clumsily hop around to find another rabbit who is assumed dead, but not really, or something, and one drawn-out scene later he is found. Everything is fine. What the coo.

I didn't quite enjoy the movie, either. It's overrated. That's probably going to be an article later.
