For people who don't know: they are talking about their video series where they set a certain (age) group of people in front of a camera and let them react to whatever video suggestion is being voted up in the comment section.
It's a very clear formula that everyone loves, and you get to learn more about the video's background in these videos, which is helpful for those who don't keep themselves busy with memes.
Long story short, the Finebros' announcement met with tremendous backlash, and it seems like I'm the only person who doesn't understand why. Alot of other react channels are negative and are calling them greedy Jews, which is very suspicious of them to do in this politically correct age, and people have made it their hobby to watch their subscriber count go down live on other websites. Also very mature.
I listened to some of these complaints that people had, and to me it's sounds like it's all based on assumptions. It was clear to me what the Finebros meant when they talked about selling "their formula", but every other react channel out there is throwing a fit because they think these guys mean their boring ass and shitty camera quality productions, and they're afraid they're getting their videos thrown off when Finebros gets their plans through the system.
But honestly, it's like these people want this to be the case, like they want to be angry about something. People these days want to complain about everything, and this feels like one of those instances.
Not once during the Finebros' announcement did I think they were talking about react videos in general. What was the rest of the world hearing? The only thing I found dubious was their plan to copyright the word "react", but I recon it was going to be in combination with the group/type of people reacting.
But now the Finebros cancelled the plans they had any right to do, sorry to break that to everyone, all to please the world and save their name.
I found the unsubscribe-to-Finebros trend to be incredibly pathetic, they did not deserve this hatred, especially not since they were willing to answer questions through mail. Questions through mail, mind you, not comments telling them to drink lava and fuck a sheep.
